Technically not mine but the work is.
It went to the paint shop yesterday and this morning we went there to put it onto a rotisserie.
It won't get 916 bumpers but it will have a big -6 and RUF wheels.

Where do you get a steel roof to weld on if not from an actual 916?

If you want an accurate repro they must be hand made.
I am considering offering kits but the price will be somewhat north of $2K.
We tried to think ahead including how the headliner will attach, and we even went to the trouble of fairing the gutters into the a-pillars on the two projects at our shop.

My factory six in 916 dress. Have since then sold the body (bad shape) and used the six parts to do my current conversion.

T.C. - Dan Roots sunroof car is one of my favorites of all time. I got to see it in Seattle at the WCR2008 and fell in love wub.gif I wish I had the $$ when you sold it. I would have been a very proud owner.

TC and Dan Roots,

Mind if I ask? Was the 'sunroof' section part of 944? It looked so similar to the early 944 sunroof...

nice work and I'm looking into it for my car....

Yep it is a 944. When the top is removed, I was amazed at how large the opening is. Still thinking about doing it to my project car, just gotta price one out. Hopefully Dan will chime in with specifics.
