Too small for splines. That's just there to grip, almost looks like a brass taillight nut.
I substituted 10mm nuts for mine.

Hey! that's the thingy that holds the relay tray cover on. In the engine compartment,,,, right? I guess it's no longer NLA. yeah!!

Hey George, do you have the "T" handle type pull for the engine lid? They are so much better than the round knob stock 914 type. I know that "T" type is 911 stuff, but a good upgrade for the 914.
