Sounds like a common problem.

I've found that driving a twisty mountain road at high speed usually makes them fade, then disappear.

Either than, or maybe a bad ground.

Just turn the radio up louder and keep driving.

Two options: Drive slower......or drive a hell of a lot faster.

If you accelerate fast enough, you should expect some red shift. I can't explain the blue though.

I am sure they are just trying to figure out what kind of car you are driving.
