In France you can find it on DVD, but it is only a french dubbed version. The image and sound quality is very bad. It is Pal encoded and Zone 2. You must have a multizone or hacked DVD player.

I laugh how the drivers face is filthy possibly covered with oil( which is possible ) and the next scene like he just stepped out of the shower. Don't people in texas drive like this every day??

During the chase the 914 is wearing Riviera rims and fuchs repro during the jump. there may be two different cars...

Watch closely when the 914 is landing. You can spot the camara that has been attached on the right side.

Its mud. In the previous scene the guy is jumping in a lake from an helicopter (very impressive stunt) When he gets out of th lake he has to walk thru mud...

Oh, I thought it was a typical 914 owner having an affair who was working on his 914 when he got in a car chase because her husband came looking for him and her.

OK.. I am a bit intrigued by this movie, so I did some research online.

At 1:54, the 914 makes a turn from Washington Avenue onto North 6th street. This is where the girl tries to fall out of the car because she wasn't wearing a seat belt.

At 2:04, they had to reverse direction for filming, because they are then going south on North 6th street back in the direction of Washington avenue.

Using google maps, you can see the jail changes sides of the road. Also the building in the distance is distinctive.


At 2:27, the manage to jump one block northeast to 5th street, and that is where the white Ford crashes into the little cop scooter writing parking tickets.

You can tell because of the distinctive building with the diamond shaped insets.

2:33 The Ford crashes into the "Hub Clotheiers" shop. It's still there, although it has changed a bit.

At 2:43 they back up and reset for the sidewalk scene. The 914 driving on the sidewalk goes past the Hub Clotheiers on Austin Avenue, and then past the building with the ridges in the walls and the pillars. It's now a Bank of America, but I don't know what it was then.

At 3:00. still on Austin Avenue, they go past the guy on the ladder at the TSO building. The building is still there, but TSO is not. You can see the sign is still around.

I think the bus jump happens at somewhere on Jackson street, but I can't be sure.

Other than an old RB47 taking off with rocket assist (RATO), dont think that I've never seen so much smoke coming out of an aerial vehicle...

By the looks of the brick building in the background, I'd guess the jump took place near 7th St. & Mary Ave.

I can personally attest to the fact that when a 914 goes airborne...it will land directly on the nose like it did in this jump - not 'flat' like other cars do in the movies...

We 'Mericans only believe it is a true jump if dust or smoke is following the car.

Great shots! I've never heard of this film. That parking garage is perfect for the 914 to lose a tail. In real life I don't think the Mercedes could've kept up.
And you can't lose a girl out the passenger door, I can attest to that one The lady holding the dash for dear life is pretty real though

In the last scene showing the girl before the jump, the passenger door is magically back on.

Probably two 914's used like someone mentioned above. One with the riv's for the chase scenes and door, one with the (fake?) fuchs for the jump.

It reminds me of the 5 hubcaps flying off the Charger during the Bullitt chase scene.

Yes, although he can't hit anything, he gets credit for 10 or 12 tactical reloads in a revolver while standing in a moving car.

But I suppose there is much to be said for the '73+ door beams. That door took a direct hit in the upholstery but there was no exit wound through the sheet metal. As we see 2 scenes later, it's not like they were trying to save the door...

I think that it is a failure of the Waco police department. Even in Texas, waving a gun out the window of a car will get someone to call 911 and get you pulled over. Much less standing in the sun roof and repeatedly firing it while driving. That will draw cops like draws flies.

But you have to remember this movie was shot when Texas still allowed open containers and had drive up windows in both bars and liquor stores and only a few people carried firearms. My how things have changed

Uh.. "only a few people carried firearms"? That remark means you didn't live here at that time. I did and still do. Almost every pickup in my high school parking lot had a gun rack in the back. And they all had some sort of firearm in them. Most of my friends parents carried a pistol. But they had common sense not to shoot it out of a moving car like this.

And it still would have attracted cops like attracts flies.

If you look close enough, you can see smoke coming from the "grassy knoll"
