I've got my motor out and I'm going through my wiring. Just trying to clean everything up and replace the shrink tubing where it's deteriorating.

I had my fuel pump hooked up to the coil before but found the stock wires for the pump so I'm planning on using them to wire it up.

While I was in there I came across a green and black wire with a broken connector on it. I looked in the book and the only green wire with a black stripe that I can find that would be in that area would be for the flashers (mine work fine).

I attatched a pic so you can get an idea for exactly where it is.

Anybody know what this wire is for and if I should re-connect it or not?

Thanks,

The car is a '73

That wire connects to the oil temp sender. It had a male wire terminal and box connector housing on it originally.

Oh ok cool.

I'm gonna have to trace mine and see how the PO wired it up.

Thanks.
