Hi Jerry. What year car did this come out of? If it's for an early car, I'm interested! Thank you.

Sending PM.

Jerry, from Tech Tips 700:

"503. Two different molded dash top pads were fitted to 914s. The first for 70-71 models has a wider relief for the clearance of the longer glove box door. 72-76 dashes had less relief. Because of this, 72-76 dash pads cannot be fitted to 70-71 cars as the glove box door will bind when raised. Always check the dash pad before fitting. 70-71 glove boxes had an opening of 170 mm, 72-76 glove boxes had openings of 150 mm. Dash pad vinyl grains also differed with one factory intermediate variety not matching at all. BEWARE!"
