I purchased the car in Nov 07 from the Mike Lieberman estate in Wisconsin. At that time it was a SCCA FP racecar with a bad engine. My plan was to make it a HDPE track and AX car. I ran this car all season with INR SCCA just AXing , never any track days. Car was ran with SCCA and MWC as a FP car, but the estate could not find th elog book. I am working with SCCA to get race info based on the numbers stamped on the cage.

The facts on the car:


• Chassis built by Aircooled Racing in Wells PA. Roll cage and fiberglass body
• Installed 79 911 SC engine with CIS and PMS engine oil cooler (new) and turbo valve covers. Kep 9” flywheel ring
• Headers with stock SC muffler
• All new braided fuel and oil lines
• MDS ignition
• 16 Quart (4 gallon) Aluminum (race) oil tank (from PMS)
• 5 speed trans with KEP Stage II 9” heavy duty pressure plate (new)
• 8 gallon fuel cell
• Fire suppression system
• Set of 4 3pc BBS 15x7 rims, new Goodyear slicks on two rims
• Pair of 15x8 Fuch replica rims on back
• Sparco EVO II seat with new never installed 5 pt harness
• Coil over front suspension

Comes with a spare trans.

I did the engine install on Garold's car. This would be a great autox or DE car, or modified to be competitive in several road racing classes. The chassis work by Steve Limbert at Air cooled Racing is, as expected, both beautiful and functional. You would not be able to duplicate the chassis fabrication alone for this price! Add the parts and drive train and you would have 3-4 times this investment. If you are thinking of building a 914 racer, save lots of money and hassle. Brad
