Thanks, just wanted to make sure.

Your fuel rails are upside down Don. You might just pull the fuel injectors and rotate the whole assembly 180 degrees to get them pointing up.

The grey injector boot faces the rear of the car.

It's going to be tricky getting that setup into the car. You have straight injector hoses, not elbow hoses, plus your steel tube fuel manifold ends are pointing down. Not sure if the straight hoses will work at all, but if they do, you might be better off installing the injectors after the engine goes in.

Actually, the factory set-up put the grey boot connections to the front of the car, but its not important to D-Jet functionally, they can be reversed.

Straight hoses work if you make them long enough to not kink. The fuel rail may sit against the body. Saves buying those prebent little hoses at an exhorbitant price, but then, I'm not a CWQ.

Jeff guess mine are swapped (or one was anyway, glad you chimed in Jeff). I just dug up some old photos of some other cars, and yes you are correct!

Cheaper elbows for you. Jeff did you ever pick these up and confirm the ID size?

"This is from my invoice when I bought the elbows in early '08:
BMW part # is 16-12-1-176-821.
Description is 7043E Hose
Price was $3.06 each at that time.

I ended up sourcing the OEM elbows :shame:

But I did include several substitute elbow part numbers on the substitute parts list on my webpage here:
