Driving around this weekend in my stock 74 2.0, I noticed a short (maybe 1-2 second) lag then surge in RPM around 4k, especially when shifting from second to third and third to fourth. Does anyone else experince this condition? Thanks.

When's the last time you replaced your points?
Someone installed a large turbocharger on your car while you were not looking?

Breaker plate in distributor is dirty and needs to be re-greased.
