I run 10's... I can sit it on the ground.....
But Im sure 8's would work too... You would limit how high you Could raise it ifn you had to have some clearance for some reason... NOW that I think about it.... YOu have a 4... JP and I have heavyer engines... You want yours low.. me and JP have ours higher than yours will be because of tires and such... I think you should use 8's. |

Rear - 10's plus 4's stacked on Bilsteins. 10's are linear rate and 4's are progressive rate. 2 1/2 " ID. I use 2 1/4 ID on front.

I could lower mine about 2 more inches with the collars....but why? It's so low now none of my floor jacks will go under it.
I had to ask for one of those lowline jobbies for Christmas Attached thumbnail(s) |

Watch EBAY, you can usually find 2.5 inch springs all the time. Although you may have a hard time finding the springs you need. Wait until after Christmas and teh NASCAR shops will be cleaning out their inventory and you can score some stuff for cheap. I paid 20 for a pair of 275 lb springs, brand new on the BAY. What spring rate do you want to run? I have a set if tall 2.5 in 175 lb springs, they won't work on my car.

JP FWIW I have one of those red alum Sears 2ton jobbies and it (just barely) jams under the floorpan donuts, and is reasonably track-portable. It has served me much longer/better than the HF one I had before.

Chris: Thanks. The Sears aluminum jobbie was what I asked for. I think I'm just a touch higher than you.....carheightwise, IIRC. ....tho I have no aversion to jammin' (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) |
