The car was obviously overloaded, "...the driver and his two companions". He would have made it with only one other person in the 914. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

But they DID make it! Article says they soared 10-15 feet across the gap and went another ~70 before touchdown on the other side. You're looking at what happened when it smashed into the bottom of the ramp coming down the far side.

The caption on the second picture says it's in Clearwater. That's the Tampa Bay area, where I grew up. Now you know why I don't want to go back there.

Did anyone notice if the webpage said when that happened?

The rednecks are mostly inland. Out towards the beaches it's white trash (even tho a lot of that white trash is easy on the eyes).

I probably won't be back until Christmas unless my Grandmother's health starts going downhill again.
