A recent thread brought up the "HO" recall. This final 914 recall was issued long after the 914 was out of production and was the second time the fuel hose and battery cover problem was addressed. There were several other recalls, including some that were to be performed on the dealers lot before the car was sold.

This thread has scans of all the recalls except the 9J recall which was the early version of the HO recall. Due to size the 9J recall has it's own thread HERE and the HO recall thread is HERE. Following is a list of all the recalls with a brief description, issue date and number of pages.


Recall 9H - Bolts for steering gear - March 26. 1970 4 pages

Service action 9K - Protective cover for voltage plate - Aug. 5, 1970 3 pages

Recall 9F - Seat adjustment - Aug. 25, 1970 8 pages

Recall "9F" should be 9J - Sept. 11, 1970 3 pages
Notice of upcoming recall 9J

Recall 9J - Fuel hose/axle bolts/battery cover - Sept. 17, 1970 13 pages
Includes service circular of May 20, 1970 that says battery cover was to be installed as part of regular maintenance

Recall 9J (amended) Oct. 14, 1970 4 pages
Extends VIN range

Recall BC - Testing of interior mirror mounting - July 27, 1972 7 pages

Recall BG - Exchange of seat belt for drivers seat - Oct.26, 1972 5 pages

Recall BH - Checking for correct wheels - Oct 12, 1972 7 pages

Recall BO - Checking forged alloy wheels - Dec. 8, 1972 9 pages

Recall HC - Safety certification label - Oct. 31, 1974 3 pages

Recall HO - New battery cover and fuel hoses - July 29, 1977 10 pages
