Worked on the Black car yesterday & a bit today. Cleaning up some of the wiring gremlins. This thing is a mess. The PO changed the 71 steering column out for a 72 column, & didn't get it wired right. I've re-wired most of it, but I'm double-checking it. The highbeam relay was bad, so it got replaced. Got the door switch working, and the interior light works now. Monday I'll tackle the turn signals, 'cause they're not quite right yet. Then I'll work on the wipers & fresh air fan. Fun! A lot of cleaning of contacts to be done yet. I want to have most of this cleaned up for when the new owner (the body shop guy) takes it. Once he finishes the paint & body on the Blue car, he'll get this one, so I've got some time yet before it has to be done. I still have to figure out the FI problems & get it running right.

Worked on the Blue car today. John got the FI tester back & we checked it out. Turns out the TPS wasn't working quite right, so I pulled the TB & cleaned it up & put on a new TPS. WOW! Those things are pricy! ohmy.gif Made a world of difference in pedal feel, & accelerates much better. I drove it to work (my real job at the Castle), & it was like driving a different car. Now if only we get some time at the shop next week to pull the trans & do a sideshifter conversion & put in a new clutch. It really needs that clutch. By the WCC, I hope to have a good running car. Then when we get back from the WCC, I can drop off the Blue car at the body shop & have the paint & body work done! mueba.gif
