Worked on the Black car yesterday. Replaced the flasher relay, & got rid of most of the turn signal gremlins. Cleaned the contacts on the fresh air fan & got it working. Thank God! Replacing one of those is a major pain! I'll get to the wipers next week (maybe).
John & I worked on the Blue car today. Pulled the tranny to replace the clutch, and as long as we've got it out, do the sideshift conversion. It took us most of the day, but we converted it. We took the 1st gear from the freshly rebuilt transmission with the broken case that came with the yellow flared car. Nice gears in that one. Fresh Swepco, too.

We reused that, of course. We had to straighten out the long shift rod a bit. All new bushings, etc. When we went to start it to adjust the shifter, no sound from the fuel pump. Hmmm. Jumped the pump to the coil, pump works but still no start. By now it's after 5pm & we both had to quit for the night (family stuff, ya know). I'm quite disapointed. We'll figure it out on monday. Probably something simple like the tranny ground strap not making good enough contact. I've also got to replace the rear brake pads, and put new front tires on. Then the car is ready for the WCC.
