- remove intake manifold and rotate 180
- move fuel rails to opposite sides - cut alt bracket and rotate alt to other side - remove hard fuel lines running under intake manifold - reinstall intake manifold, only plug to TSP needs to be lengthened about 6" - weld alt adjustment bracket from old bracket on fan housing Attached thumbnail(s)
Time for a subaru conversion...
Step 1: remove 1.7 on its last legs Step 2: put the 2056 built for the ghia in place. 9.5:1, ceramic lifters, balanced, heads opened up to 44X38, 44 idfs, Unilight distributor. This thing was a monster in the ghia with a DTM and moves the 914 around with a whole lotta zip, stock pancake cooling however means the oil temp climbs a bit too high on the Balt/DC hellway... It is going to live on, with the DTM like it should, in the back of a 74 vw thing.
