So here is a peek with the seats out. Found some rust holes after a few pokes with a screw driver. Gotta get rid of the tar, hopefully this weekend. Also need to take off the rocker panels, again hopefully this weekend.

After reading all of the posts regarding rust, I have decided to venture ahead and peek under the covers, as it were. Expecting to find major problems I took a welding class and hope to have found a decently priced welder to buy soon.

Bought the '75 2.0 last summer whithout knowing much about these things. I had hoped to spend the summer driving around with the top down enjoying things, but as it turns out I barely got to drive it due to a few fairly simple problems. Simple that is when I discovered what they were.

First thing to go was the fuel pump, although it was an intermittent problem making it hard to diagnose. After replacing it I still had an issue with it hesitating when driving under 3200 rpms, and only accellerating smoothly when stomping on the gas. Finally it wouldn't start at all. And in a fit of desperation I replaced the relay board with a used one I bought off of Ebay 'cause it was too cheap not to.

The car started right up, and drove well. Hesitation problems gone. Of course by this time summer was almost over.
