Last weekend I used the welder for the first time, that was pretty sweet I can tell ya, I was burning holes through sheetmetal like crazy welder.gif
This weekend I practiced some more and my the hole burning skill developed in actually bonding two pieces of metal together, it was time to switch to the beetle and start burning holes in there.
Eventualy I succeeded in getting some sheetmetal in, definately not the pretiest of welds but wit a lot of dressing with a grinder they will come out OK at the end.
But man I'm so proud of myself.. except for the little miscalculation of the piece behind the door... cut it one cm short, so had to fill it with a small strip spank.gif

But the doorgaps are perfect, doors fit and close, with a new door rubber installed so thats good boldblue.gif

Enjoy the horror of my first welds clap56.gif

Hey Jacco,
Those welds turned out nice!
I'm not sure what you're using to grind your welds but for me a flapper disk (lamellenschijf) works best. It gives you more control
Keep at it!
