It's been a long time since I put anything up but I'll try to make it worth it by making the best product I can.

So I recently got back into gathering information from wherever I can. I contacted the LED manufacturer for a design check and they said it looked good but that I should add some kind of heat sink to dissipate some heat.

TonyAKAVW was kind enough to give me some feedback about the prototype that I sent out. Next step is to apply all those changes to my model. This will take some time but what can I do. I'll outline the changes in another blog, when I get a little more organized.

I have been thinking about making some design changes such as reducing the number of LEDs. This would lower the production cost, thereby reducing the selling price. It would also generate less heat over the same are by spacing out the LEDs a little more. And finally it would make them easier and faster to build. The only drawback is that I don't know if there would be enough light to make installing LED taillights worth it.
