I modified the intake plenum to flip the intake over so it would fit into the engine bay without cutting any body parts.

Also modified a reprodcution sheetmetal kit to fit the 3.6. To do this, pieces need to be added to the front sections because the 3.6 cam drive covers angle back where the stock 6 is straight. It also needs to have something fabbed to address the area where the stock oil cooler goes, since the 3.6 doesn't have one.

Then I modified the stock alternator/fan drive. The 3.6 uses two separate belts/pulleys and spins them at different speeds. There isn't room for all that crap in a 914 installation. You can buy single pulley conversion parts, but I couldn't do that in good conscience with a lathe and mill in my shop. So, I modified the lower pulley by cutting off the outer pulley and then fabricated a new hub for the upper pulley to drive the alt and fan at the same time. Also made a block off plate for the end of the camshaft. The stock power steering pump is driven off the camshaft and it leaves a void when removed. I machined up the piece in the last photo to use the stock o-ring for sealing.
