Two Wheeled Type IV project pics. The project begins starting from the rear wheel and working forward! I'm building up a WIDE 240/50VR-16 tire /wheel combo, steel wheel powder coated black spoked to a Honda CB750 rear hub. It's custom but cheapo way to make a kickass rear wheel. I trued the wheeel with this computerized torque wrench I made with strain gages. Soon the engine/tranny will have a swingarm attached to it with custom wheel and tire! MAX WIDE Road Rubber - Metzler 240/50VR-16 arrived today (12-05-07)! Need to press in new rear wheel bearings then "muscle on the Metzler! I used my extra 914 Diamond Wheel Rim to hold the bike wheel during tire mounting, Note the plastic tubing I lined the rim with to protect the powder coat on the bike wheel.Made 2 custom tire irons to aid in tire mounting process.... need to make one more with a little longer lever..... a tire this size will take 2 guys and 3 irons! Mounted! What a great feeling! Stock starter needs to be replaced with something a bit smaller!
