I bought this car way back in Oct. 1977 and it was my pride and joy. Then 1 month
later the GF at the time said "while your at work could I use your car during the day'
so I said ok. Then while I was at work she decided to get drunk and go for a drive and rear ended someone. The insurance said no dice she wasn't on the policy so your screwed. The car sat for a little over a year then in Jan. 1979 my dad loaned me the money for the parts to fix it. I replaced all the bent sheet metal and by June 79 I had it all finished and painted. I then drove it daily until 1983 and park it and decided to go thru it. Big mistake as I took it apart and lost interest. I tried to get it together over the years but kept losing interest. Then in 2003 started getting interested again and buying parts for it and decide to do a complete resto. In Nov. 05 I was visiting Pelican Parts and found this club and joined. Since then I've been working on it and for a year now been seriously working on it. One good thing for having it sit for so long is it only has 80,000 original miles. I've got some before pics show bringing it up to the present. I should have it done by mid August early Sep. 08.
