@anderssj wow what a difference!

I live off a country highway so visibility of my 914 to other drivers is a big thing, got my little box too and updated my older version to the newer boards, check out the density of the white LEDs compared to the previous iteration, the pics do not do them justice:

Bravo @Spoke another winning setup! The white 3D printed parts are also a good move, makes the board even more seamless under the lens (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I installed my Spokeworksled.com tail/brake lights tonight. Easy to install and much more visible. I felt like I was risking my life every time I drove in the rain before the upgrade. Great product!

Well, I've joined the club. Got these yesterday, installed them this morning.

@spoke
Can I add front euro with blanking (does this mean the white portion turns off when you activate a directional) and not effect the dash light if I keep incandescent bulbs in the rear?

@BENBRO02

In general, converting to LED turnsignals will mess with your flasher relay. Do you have an early (separate L and R indicators) or late (single L/R indicator) tach? In either case, when you change to LED turnsignals, the flasher relay will not behave properly with the tach indicators. You need to swap out the OEM flasher relay with a modified EP26 LED-compatible flasher relay.

About the Euro front turnsignals, yes the white LEDs shut off when the turnsignal is active on that side. The Euro front turnsignals drop right into the US bucket although you do need a Euro lens with the clear bottom. Besides an LED-compatible flasher, all other bulbs can be incandescent including the tach indicators. I still run incandescent tach indicators.

Thanks for your explanation. I have a late tach

Just a quick bump and some praise for Spoke and his LED kits. He makes items to order. My package arrived early from his shipping estimate.

I outfitted all of my car (less fog lights) in less than an hour today. Everything was as simple as could be. The improved lighting performance is a huge safety upgrade for our little cars, IMO.

Thanks, @spoke!

The front Euro lights need to be upgraded now.

I will remove the lower bulb support/holder so to make room for the new board
Will PM too

Jim's setup for the front buckets above is exactly mine. I can't remember where I got the kit for the separate bulb socket and plastic divider for the Euro style running and turn signals. I also bought the module that allows you to flash the fogs with a tug on the turn signal lever when the headlights are off. I use that all the time and love it.

I was concerned that the Spoke kit for the front light buckets would not play well with all of my mods, but I just removed the lower running bulb from the socket, heat shrunk the bare ring ground terminal, and just tucked the whole kit into the bucket under the LED board.

Bottom line - AMAZING. The fit was snug and perfect. When installing the rear turn signal boards, I suggest fitting the larger outside clip onto the bucket reflector first, and then fastening the board to it with the provided screw. Otherwise, its tough getting the needed clearance past the socket when the turn signal plug has already been inserted. I don't see another way around it.

I wasn't sure I was going to like the red LED strip pointed to the side, rather than the stock amber thru the rear turn signal lenses, but it actually looks super cool.

The LED flasher relay works great. My tach indicator light is nice and bright, and the relay is nice and audible, which will keep me from f=driving around like an idiot with my signals still on. One funny anomaly is that when the emergency brake switch circuit is engaged (brake lever is fully up), the relay flashes my emergency brake indicator in the fuel gauge, without flashing any of the outboard lights Not the end of the world, but actually useful, as I have driven around occasionally with the parking brake not fully disengaged.

I was holding off on the brake light boards just to see how the turn signals worked out, and I just ordered up the brake boards and side markers. Super happy!!

Shipping was quick, and the kit also includes an extra clip of each variety just in case of a break.

Thanks Jerry. Ingenious mod!!

@spoke can you do 240Z tails/turns/side markers?

I have found options but I don’t care for sequential backflips and such. Just looking for reproduction…

@mcbrems -- Actually, that's how the system is supposed to work. The factory set that up to warn that the parking brake was still lifted, even a little.

@ConeDodger

If the 240Z light fixtures open up like the 914 and 911 I can do LEDs for it.

They sort of do. The lens portion is attached to the base with butyl like substance. I will try to get pictures and post them.
