Allan, could meet you where the 178 joins 14. I think Joe Sharp and /L are towing up, not sure who else is really coming. I could get crazy and go to B'field so we could drive 178 together. Helluva road, IIRC, but that would make it 276 miles for me.

I'll be towing the car so I don't want to deal with 178 through the canyon... |

Is anybody else planning on camping out at the track? I'm planning on setting up a tent and camping out there.

I will not be going to this event afterall. Looking for a new job + getting both cars registered + bills + non-running teener = no fun for brando (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I used to belong to another informal car club when I was going to school in Santa Barbara. One of their yearly events was to attend the Lone Pine challenge. two or more groups typically would compete in what they called the "beater challenge." This is similar to the beater challenge that Grass Roots Motorsports sponsors, but it was just for this event. Anyway, they seemed to have fun at this autocross, though I never went with them. If I get my Subaru conversion done in time, I would like to go this year. Anyone else intersted in this? Lone Pine challenge -Tony Since this "page could not be found" and I am "not authorized to view this page", could someone please tell me what day(s) this event is? Seems I read somewhere in this thread the 22nd. I am assuming that is May.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) |

hmm...this sounds like really fun event. Hey George (Maddeye) If you tow my running 14' to the event. i'll let you drive her in the event. We could share driver duties. I dont have a helmet though. And i'll prolly need a decent set of tires.

I'm out for the entire weekend.
I will probably come up early Saturday and try to run the car and leave in the evening... |
