Edit: Yup, it moved!
If I can find an investor, I can get more bodies and sell them as painted examples and not just the clear shell. (BTW, I have some nice shades of pink in stock (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/girlboing.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif)) This post has been edited by djm914-6: Jun 25 2005, 09:29 AM |

Well Dave THANKS ALOT (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/flipa.gif) I haven't even gotten the 914 body yet and I have already bought a second body (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/blink.gif) Never built one of these before, No idea what the hell I'm doing but now I have two bodies (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/screwy.gif) This one is a split window VW, I guess if I find a dune buggy (Manx) body I'll be buying that one too. I'm holding you personally responsible for my pending bankruptcy. Guess I'll start eating doggy poo (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/chowtime.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/stromberg.gif) to save some loot.........

I'm putting a deadline of Monday the 11th (05JUL11).
If your thinking of ordering but are not sure about what these are, please ask. If you've sent a check please let me know. If you are on the list but haven't paid, please do so. If your not on the list but wanted one, yell at me. Thanks. Cheers, (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) |

There's a nice pic of a red one from a German event that I can't find now. Does anyone have that? |

How many do you want this "investor" to buy? How much of an investment would get mine painted for me?

I've painted many bodies, but this will be the first 1/10 scale 914. They are pretty easy to paint up. Paint goes on the inside, decals on the outside. I've posted pics of the 1/24 scale 914s here before.
The investor can buy as many as he/ she would like. I'll offer a percentage of the painted price. Anyone interested can email me (djm914-6@comcast.net) or call me (339/234-0575).
My prices to paint a shell depend on the detail the owner wants. For a single color and trimmed (cut) shell, I charge $25. From there, the sky is the limit. I can do race graphics, lettering, Kal Kustom paint, etc. I'm sure most would want at least two colors (black top and rockers plus body color). For the club, I'll charge $30 including full decal placement. Chrome trim is also an option (decals are gray), email for pricing.
Yeah, this will happen. I've contacted the vendor to make sure the price per unit doesn't change. I just hope I can get some extra money to buy the few I wanted. |

So how much does the whole start-to-finish toy project cost (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif) ?
(Let's assume battery powered vs gas powered.) And when can we start the RC 914 AX events? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) |
