That's awesome Rick! Did you make that stamping by hand 30 years ago? I painted the car in the mid to late 90's. When I did the transformation to the 928/901 conversion me and the boys did this to the trunk floor around 2003. Did it with a bead roller. The other photo is from under the car. ![]() |

So I am working on installing rebuilt pedal assembly and hydraulic 3master cylinder for the last time. Went to press the brake pedal and it is solid. The car is up on stands so I checked the tires for rotation all 4 are locked up. Has to be a seized master cylinder. The biggest issue is I extended the master cylinder mounting bolts. I have to pull the peddle assembly back out to remove the master cylinder. That's what happens when your stuff sits in cold winter storage.

My goal is Sept 10. That gives me enough time to shake out a few bugs before I head west to the RRC in Durango.

Boxster cable shifter with a 914 lever. I added the short shifter kit first. Then added the 914 lever. The throw is about the same as stock but crisp and positive. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-43-1753637469_thumb.jpg) Gee.. where have I seen that before??? Depending on the final feel I may shorten the lever a little. Working on building a console. The last one built by a friend of mine was too narrow and short to install over the Boxster shifter. |

I started with mine about the same length as yours. Ended up way shorter to get the feel I liked. And I have a custom console planned for mine too. But I don't know what to do with the face of the console. I was thinking about a full sized PCCM unit from a Boxster/Cayman. You can pick them up cheap these days. |

Well when you actually drive them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) long distance (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) In all types of weather conditions they show their abuse. I hope to have the paint on it again before the drop dead date. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) like when I first did the car, I had my oldest son and 2 of his friends help get it ready. This time I have his boys. They are a little younger but they can hold a sanding pad and use a wash mitt. |

Roughed in the console. I like the stock style console. It is very hard to make something like a stock console and get it to fit over the shifter. I cut a bunch of plastic off the shifter housing and it.is still tight. The biggest issue is the neutral gate. There is a plastic rocker that sticked up pretty high the moving the shifter all the way to the left.
