I think you are promoting this guys business a little too much... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/KMA.gif)

Can we just see pics of your car? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Maybe he should become a member and introduce himself? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) I would much rather hear about your car. Even if you are not doing the work yourself. While the occasional picture of another 914 is notice its really beginning to seem more like an advertisement.

Porscharu73,
I am cleaning up some of my work under the front hood. My air exhaust port is a lot smaller than in your photos but as I recall this is a stress point that tends to crack.
My plan is to weld a doubler plate on the inner wheel well wall. With an opening that large you may want to do the same.

I remember a discussion on this with photos but I could not find it.
I would like to see the cracks again so I can properly place the doubler.
Maybe some of your readers have a link or photos? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

I should add, this cover with the holes looks very nice. If it is only pop riveted on, I don't think it adds any structural integrity to the body. The rivet holes may even be where a crack originates from. Now, if it fastened to a reinforced inner wall the plate may help reduce flex and stress.

i think we are all seeing some nice work/ideas here : )

painting over the head light motors not being one of them : (

i do think the cradle might need some modification to work with a side shift trans?

keep the pics and typos coming - this is not english class (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

when your shop decides to offer up their services, they can then post a thread in the members vendor section, until then, this is a progress thread in my book.

1- all cuts in sheet metal should have rounded corners, not 90 degrees corners.

2- radiator should be mounted with rubber isolators to car.

Agreed. I was probably a little too harsh. I'll try better next year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I would like to see some specific pics of your car in your thread. Best of luck with your conversion. You are doing a 914 subaru conversion right Porscharu73?

Having said that I have talked with Brody a year or so ago. He does know his suby conversions. He is a good resource in the SoCal area. He was happy to talk shop & share ideas.
