I want to thank Joe for being such a great host.
I also want to thank the guys that helped me sort out my dizzy: Clayton, Brando, Jeff, Brad, Matt, Craig and anyone else that lent a hand. The car ran great on the ride home and I really appreciate the help! Thanks, Joe |

I think the best quote of the evening was bennie saying "hey, it's different with throttle control!"
I had a great time. Thank you Joe Sharp for putting on the best get togethers. And all the other guys, you know who you are, who keep my enthusiasm with this group high and alive. The most fun I have is working other peoples' cars rather than my own. Keep bringin' `em, we'll keep fixin' `em. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mueba.gif) |

now its my turn to sort out the day... NOT GONNA BE EASY,
k, came up on 3 strong cylinders doing 50-55 uphill.. didnt think more about it, its been like that since i got it.. Met some very nice people (new friends) and then I was waiting for one of those tasty burgers.. -HEY, arent you the swede running on three cylinders? (clayton, dont know your name here..) yepp, thats me, he gets his toolbox and say, dont just stand there, lets fix it! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) getting help from so many (strangers) in one day is overwhelming, everyone who knew something pitched in, got iit running on 4 after a while, new plugs and some handy crafts on my hoses... GREAT! it ran awesome (although when aaron gave me a ride in mike's car.. WOW!!!!!!) then we started to get into some issues, ran on 4, ran on 3, ran on 2.. not at good sign.. well it ended up running on 3 1/2 which is great.. then my throttle cable or something broke.. (a bushing you said?) then it was time for me to do my first time ever work on my car.. may sound strange owning a 914, but i never tried really. I got so much help with both my car and do some work on my own today! Thanks to all the guys and gals that were there. had a great time... sorry joe for taking up your driveway and leaving marks (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smash.gif) oh, sorry for those parts i "stole" they were handed to me i swear (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/boldblue.gif) hahaha, sorry for the long post, just had an amazing day with some pretty knowledgeble guys!! thanks Cris ( I know clayton, i have red hair, im swedish its ok!) almost forgot, I made it home, driving 75+mph in those mean uphills.. it all went good, and my headlights only went out 5 times,, which is not bad.. |
