Alrighty, I have a box of stainless nuts and bolts headed to your house, Trevor (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I may just start shipping parts to you, too. I just went through my enormous stash of parts and I found that I have a few usable 1st sliders if anyone is in need. I'll be shipping them and a bunch of synchro teeth, syncro bands, bearings, sliders...etc.

I gutted my 912 tranny to get the MSX gears so they can go out soon. We had blackouts for the last few days so shipping has been slow. Ice storms are Mother Natures way of saying, "Live somewhere else!" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Man, this clinic cant come fast enough! Two checks have arrived: scrz914, and my off line customer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Who was it that wanted the ZD 5th gear set? I forget (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Sounds good. Maybe I'll wrap it and put it under the tree, open it on Christmas, and let my kids look at me funny...a box of nuts and bolts? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

Maybe I will send you an inflatable sheep, too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

I am shipping out a core tranny for one of our attendees tomorrow. The GrayHound depot is 10mi down Almaden from you.

you guys are gonna have a blast!

sure mike isn't pleasant to look at and has problems with social skills and playing well with others but the boy can do up a tranny!! (yep, lobbed this one up....)

i have a side shifter that he took care of for me when i was a mere 90 miles away back in MD and it is great. smooth as butter..... will soon mate it up with the mcmark motor and i will be cruisin'!

be sure that you watch the shims under your clutch pivot ball. mike got a great laugh out of that with me.

he does great work so take advantage of this opportunity!

cheers,

scott

Ha! I am glad that you waited until AFTER the flight was booked to say that. You forgot my impeccable hygiene. Ever seen the Worlds Fastest Indian? Burt Munro was a clean freak compared to me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

50 ext. way loud but fun.

I finally got my tranny apart and I think it all looks good. After 85K miles, it wasn't grinding, kept its oil, and there was nothing shiny in the bottom. Take a look though because I don't know squat.

I do want to redo the gaskets all around.

Thanks again, R

Hey Rob,
From what I can see in your pics, 1st looks to bee in great shape. I cant tell what the slider is like, but the synchro teeth look good and the synchro band looks to be barely abused which = the rest of the parts are probably in great shape. Be happy!
