very nice! Does it keep actual time? The pointer has only moved a couple spaces in the last several minutes.

Yes, the needle shows hours. This is actual time from your computer.

It's not supposed to be displayed at full screen
but as a Widget in a website like this http://porsche914.fr-bb.com/index.htm ...

Thanks Johnannes! That's awesome. I looked at a minute ago and it was almost the same time it was when I looked at it this morning at 05:32.

OK, I see how it works. Pretty cool how you have 9:14 as redline. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Very cool! You need to have the gas gauge show the month and the speedo show the day to go with it !

Download this file

http://club914.fr/914watch.zip

Unzip and put the folder wherever you want

This works on WinXP but should also work on Vista and Seven

1- Right click on your desktop of your computer and select Properties.

2- In the Display Properties box that appears select the Desktop tab and Customize Desktop…

3- In the new Desktop Items dialog select the "Web" tab then "New".

4- Now you can enter the path to "914watch.htm" file. Use the browse button to find the file.

5- At this time "Lock desktop items" button must be unchecked.

6- Apply. The item will then appears on your desktop background.

7- Click on the items border to move and resize the window however you like.

8- Once the item is in the right position you can return to the active desktop setup and check the "Lock desktop items" button

Note for advanced users:
You can change the size of the watch when editing the 914watch.htm file with the notepad.

That seems very easy to do http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc163370.aspx
But as I only have XP I won't be able to test it. So if anyone has time to buit it ...

That worked perfectly! I was trying to put the flash object directly on the desktop as a web object. Of course all I got was a white square. Using your html file did the trick.

THANKS!!!
