QUOTE Does anyone know of a good DVD/Blu-Ray player that will also play the PAL videos? In Europe every basic Pal DVD player car read NTSC and convert the signal to Pal. But US hardware are mosty built cheapo and the player or the TV may not be able to read the DVD. |

I thought if you sent the TV a signal, it would display it. |

I thought if you sent the TV a signal, it would display it. if you try to play PAL on NTSC tv's it is normally discolored and it looks like your watching old scrambled television. its actually a different format and different resolution's http://www.diffen.com/difference/NTSC_vs_PAL edit: easiest way to see the differences is when you 'hack' a video game console and make it play a PAL without conversion on an NTSC tv. its a lovely display although impossible to play. |
