I have a bead on Fuchs 6x16 and 7x16 wheels but can't figure out if they are the correct backspacing for my 914.
I've searched now for an hour here and PP and haven't found much. The wheels are: 6JX16 911 361 020 43 forged-black star rim flange polished 7JX16 911 361 020 44 forged-black star rim flange polished Can someone tell me if these have suitable backspacing for 5-lugged 914? Does someone have the chart with all the Fuchs wheels on them? Thanks in advance, Spoke |

Thanks Eric,
I don't see the 911.361.020.43/44 6x16 and 7x16 wheels on here. What is the correct backspacing for the 914? |

The 6's should be
Offset 36mm Backspace 112mm The 7's are Offset 23mm Backspace 112mm That wheel has two part numbers I believe so, the above 16's are the same. Speak German? http://www.pocg.de/technik/911/s_Felgen_auf_911.htm |

I found the chart that I was looking for. I even had it bookmarked but forgot about it. It was under 911 Weights from Rennlist.
911 Wheel Sizes & Weights So these wheels are: 911.361.020.43 6x16 17LB 36mm offset 112mm backspace 911.361.020.44 7x16 18LB 23.3mm offset 112mm backspace So these should fit the 914 just fine. I may have to roll the back fender a bit to fit. |

There is one more 16" wheel that may be of interest to you, a 7" off of a 944. The 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo's came out with 7" and 8" X 16" Fuchs wheels, but were not the 911 offset. The 7's look like 6's from the outside and the same for the 8's which look like 7's from the outside(meaning the extra wheel width goes in and not out). Look at Eric's chart for the 8's and compare the 951 part number 8 with the 911 part number 8. I had 911 6's on the front and 944 7's on the rear of a 914

What tire size are you thinking? I am mostly curious in the back as my 7s are/where close before flaring or stretching.

they should all fit.
If they are a good deal, but them up...if you dont want them, share the lead... I may be down in Allentown to visit a client on the 15th or 16th if you have some time I would love to grab some lunch and see your 930 again... Rich |
