"You can bore the heads for larger tubes and solve the issue, else you'll have to have the correct seals which are NLA as far as I know.. I'd use the old seals and seal them up with my teflon sealant.." this a reply from the classic thread "push rod tube seals."one of my tubes is leaking at the head original 1.7.i was going to order some seals but it appears they are nla? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hissyfit.gif)

they are all over the place, always check vw sites too.. I have never seen them nla, plus them come in engine gasket sets, i given away sets.. what do you do with them all.. plus there is always someone here on this site whom knows somewhere or has them personally.. Just note that the early 1.7 heads have smaller bores for the pushrod tubes than most heads do. AFAIK, you can get the silicone seals for those but the "usual suspects" don't carry Viton seals for the smaller bores.
