I test fitted my wheels on the car and it seems like there may be some interference when the wheels are fully turned. For the moment I installed them without spacers - but I will need some, prolly 1", to fill up the fenders. Purpose of the fitting exercise was actually to determine how much spacer is needed.
My wheels are Yoko ES100 225/45-17 and the rims are 17x7.5 with 23mm offset. For the moment it doesn't rub yet but with spacers installed it looks to me that the tire will hit the fender well in the area indicated on the drawing. I was wondering whether any other people have the same problem, and if so how you solved it. Thanks!!! Attached image(s) ![]() |

I run 225 X 45 X 15 on 7 inch wheels.....22.75 inch tire dia.
My clearance problems were at the top of the fender well. I hammered out these tacky flares and moved the lip up 3/4 inch. Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() |

The smaller diameter of your tires helps. According to specs mine are just under 25" diameter. I'm kinda wondering whether that's too much for that tire width.
Clearance with the fender is not a problem, that can be solved easily as you did. |

I have 225/50-16s on the front of my car, the tires rub at extreme lock.
I just live with it,, the only time I really turn the wheel that hard is manuevring in the pits etc.. |

Looks like my first post may be a bit misleading. Should have been:
"For the moment it doesn't rub yet but with spacers installed it looks to me that the tire will hit the wheel well in the area indicated on the drawing." It's got nothing to do with the fender. If I just have to live with it, I hope the turning radius will still be better than my Expedition. Would be pretty silly otherwise. |

i run a 23x9.5x15 cantilver slick with 21mm spacer up front with no rubbing. without it would rub on the inside. the225 x16's weren't a problem. Normally pushing out the tires is not a problem.
