Have a gasket under it? Maybe double up on the gaskets or compress the bail abit more.

If it is the gasket under the box that the bail holds down you can get the gasket without buying an entire engine rebuild kit.....it is part #021-115-487.....easily found at most VW places...if it is the o ring under the funnel it is part # 021-115-137 also readily available at VW places..............Another thing I am wondering what are you attaching that open PCV valve to, if anything?
