I can't seem to remove the dash vent/heater controls.

Is there a trick to getting this out?

Thanks for those with the skills to help!

Are you talking the whole mechanism buried in the dash?

Yes.

Not sure if there is a trick to it, as it does not just push out

Can't say I've looked in there lately, but I would guess it was put in before the dash was put on?

Maybe can take the cables loose and is the mounting bracket bolted on or something so that it can be dropped down through the dash or out the front??

Disconnect cables under cowl from the trunk, remove mounting bolt, pull out of dash.

Forgot, pull out lights and disconnect spade connectors.

Ahhh. There is a mounting bolt?

The dash is an aftermarket wood dash, not factory.

So this mounting bolt is behind the dash on top?

From the sound of things, it would be somewhere around where the fresh air blower motor is I'm thinking??

Bolt is behind control on front firewall. Get to it upside down under your dash.

Finally got it out this morning.

One of the vent cables running into the front trunk is not accessible, so I had to remove it from the dash control panel.

I'm really glad that none of this is going back into the car.

Thanks guys for your help.
