Aaron,

How is it going? I don't have a silver one, but I came across a spare black plastic one you're welcome to.
I know I've seen black anodized metal ones, but not silver metal - interesting!

Enjoy!

I don't think there was ever a silver emblem, but a lot of the black anodized emblems faded to a pewter color.

Uh, Dave. These were on my 73 when I bought it brand new. They were "silver" then and still are. They were never black!!!!!!!

Heck, I need a 1.8, a 1.7 and a 2.0 badge...

Reason? Fliping the 2 to make a 5, and putting the numbers together to make...

914-8 5.7

Ta da!!!

Some weekend...

Try Ralph at Boothe Design (626) 336-1396. He sells silver hood crests for about $80 each.

The first silver emblems are metal, hot off the tail end of gold metal ones.

Flipping the numbers isn't going to look good. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Ok.. True, but add body filler, a grinder, sand paper, and some good paint...

It'll look just fine.
