My 74 2.0 will idle about 1200 right after starting, but the idle speed will drop after a few minutes, to rpms low enough that it will stall if I don't keep on the gas. I was adjusting the throttle cable when it broke. While I am changing that out, any thoughts on other things to check? Last fuel pressure about 6 months ago, tune up at the same time. Vacuum lines replaced about 3 months ago.

Start with fuel pressure test.

Just checking. Does it idle at 800? If not adjust idle screw. I assume you have FI.
