I have replaced the throttle cable on my 73 1.7 ok.....When I got the car the cable was sandwiched between the shelf seal near bulkhead...Is this the correct location of entry into the engine bay??! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hissyfit.gif)

No. If I recall, the cable is routed through a hole in the engine tin using a grommet in the hole. I think the hole is on a horizontal section of the passenger side piece of tin that covers the cylinders (not home at the moment where cars and pics are)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) but whatever works. My carb setup works better if the cable comes up like yours.
