To the brain trust that is every present.
I just finished assembling my first ever type 4 engines.
After reviewing the remanding gaskets- I have an o-ring that I have no idea where it goes. The only thing that measure close to the size is an oil pump gasket …I used another new oil pump that did not require the gasket shown. So … where does this mystery o-ring go??
Measures the same size as the crank –pressed in seal .
Thanks in advance for your comments.

That's the o-ring that seals the factory 2-piece oil pump. You don't need it; toss it.

Thanks! Now I can sleep at night insteading of 'wondering' what can go wrong when I actually start it up.
