1972 Porsche 914-6 Conversion, a Custom Project – Priced at $8,000
Now also listed on eBay! Very clean rust-free 1972 Porsche 914 1.7 liter chassis, will save the buyer thousands of dollars in rust repair costs alone (considering the condition of most 914 rollers we’ve seen). The project started almost two decades ago and it is time for someone to take-over to complete it. Click here to see a photos of a very similar 914-6 project, very cool looking car! Project Highlights; • 1972 Porsche 1.7 liter Chassis to 914-6 conversion • 914-6 Front & Rear Suspension Upgrade to 5-Lug and Vented Rotors • Koni Front Struts, 3.5 in. Spacing, rebuilt with 2” Lowered Spindels • 911 Aluminum Front Hubs, New! • 911 RS Alloy Front Calipers (those look very new to me) • 911 Vented Front Brake Rotors, New! • 914 Trailing Arms, Modified and Strengthened • 930 Turbo Rear Calipers • Vented Rear Brake Rotors, cross-drilled • Bilstein Coil-Over Adjustable Rear Shocks • Longer Wheel Studs; Front & Rear • Fiberglass Front & Rear Trunk Lids • 914-6 GT Fiberglass Front Bumper • 914-6 GT Fiberglass Front Lower Valance • 914-6 GT Fiberglass Rear Bumper • Aluminum Skinned Doors using .050 gauge Aluminum • Aluminum Skinned Non-Removable Top • Roof Chopped 2” Inches using .62 gauge Aluminum • Custom Formed Steel Fender Flares • Louvered Engine Cover • MOMO Racing Steering Wheel Type V35 (date code 11-90) and Wheel Hub • Removable Roll Cage • NASA Style Air-Ducts at both Rear Fenders • Firewall Access Door to Distributor/Fan Housing • Rust-Free, I mean ZERO RUST! Interior Epoxy primered, exterior body-primer. • Centerline Alloy Wheels; Front Pair 7x15 / Rear Pair 8x15 • All bodywork has been done in metal, fiberglass here... Missing Items: • Engine • Gearbox • Main Loom Wiring Harness (I may have the 914-4 main wiring loom). • Engine Wiring Harness • Seats, Driver and Passenger • No front windshield • No Driver/Passenger Window Glass • There are many more small items missing, but I can't list them all... The posted photos shows most items included in this sale. Feel free to contact me with any questions. The black 914-6 that is referred to in this posting cost @$140000. Professional metal work, complete drivetrain rebuild.
Just starting out you are saving thousands of dollars, this is an extremely good starting point. Craig at CAMP |

Just starting out you are saving thousands of dollars, this is an extremely good starting point. Craig at CAMP Hi Craig, I think so too. I know what I personally had to spend in my own car to handle the issues that most refer to as "no rust". I dropped a lot of money prepping my 914 chassis (the hidden costs). Here are some photos of that black 914 chop-top project car. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Hello All! I've replied to most emails already, but I think it would also be a good idea to post my answers here as well.
Perfect title, no issues. The car is available for inspection in the Escondido / San Diego area of Southern California. If you want to discuss further, please feel free to email me your contact telephone number, or I can email you mine. Thanks again! Armando PS: T.C. What are you up-to these days? |

...no rust in 'hell-hole' area
No rust in rear trunk area either... ...and it does come with a louvered engine cover, all metal work, nothing was done in FG. What is that worth in terms of dollars, months of restoration time and the unknown? A 914 chassis with NO rust. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Yup, I can tell you what that's worth, probably the asking price of the car if not more in a lot of cases! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) |

I know your not parting out. But who ever buys this chassis / Project. I am interested in the Centerlines. Please keep me in mind if your selling them.
I would love to buy the car as the black one is my desktop background, love that car so many subtle design changes, just keeps yours eyes looking for all the subtle details. |

Thanks for the post and free-bump Stephen. Yes, I rather wait until someone comes forward wanting to buy the entire project rather than parting it out.
I could sell the Centerline wheels, the 911 suspension components and off the rest at a lower price, but that becomes more of a time consuming hassle. This project appears to be headed for eBay very soon. I need the space... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sunglasses.gif) Aluminum Top Aluminum Skinned Doors |
