Anyone have any good pics or info on how the 914 GT headlight mechanism (with the cable release) worked? I'd like to come up with something similar for my car if it's not too difficult. I have an idea of how I could fabricate the lift mechanism - I just wonder how they fastened back down when closed.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I sell the rare GT windshield wiper kit......consists of a four carbon fiber rollers, twenty feet of stainless unobtanium twine and instructions....problem is....ya gotta steer with yer knees while pulling both ends of the S/S twine to actuate the wipers while 140 mph into a double off camber turn.

Only used once....wipe the blood off and burn marks.....$29.95....plus shipping and $150 for lawyer sign off....

Waste of time.....but it does get rid of 2.5 pounds of pesky weight above the midline....

Geeeeeezzzzus....get a life guys.....lose the motors, gut the lights, add a set on top of the bumper IF you need them.....sometimes you guys even surprise ME.....

Hey Aaron,
Sure that's not a photo of the Daytona GT? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool_shades.gif)
Why not try to stripp weight anywhere you can from the car? Removing weight is like adding horsepower.

Thanks for all the pics, guys! If there is a kit already available for this, I'd be interested in finding out how much this is as well.

My friend bought his last kit a week ago 350.00 No cables. Another person sells the cable kit for 175.00 .
These were pretty exact replica parts.
It could be home made a lot cheaper. DIY project.
