On my 73 I've just rebuilt pedal cluster.question about switch activating arm .im not exactly sure if it sits behind or in front or the arm to master cylinder.looking for a picture

It sits on the "wrong" side. The obvious way to put it together is wrong. I believe that the washer on the pushrod pushes the switch until you press the pedal.
Give it a try; if the brake lights come on with the ignition switch on you have the switch on the wrong side of the washer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) --DD |
