Is it possible to replace the qty. 19 Windshield Molding Clips, with the Windshield installed in the car?
Finally to the point of installing the Molding, after getting the
car painted, and several are going to need to be replaced in order to get the trim to
stay in place. The previous owner used silicone glue to strengthen the clips, and
it is time to fix it correctly this time around....opinions??

Thanks!

You might have clearance problem. There is a platic center stud that needs to be pressed in at the center of the clip. The clips are usually installed with no glass in place.

This advice couldn’t have come at a better time since I am ready to install a new windshield and didn’t realize that the clips need installed before the windshield.
Thanks!

Thank you. I was afraid that would be the case.

Forgot to shoot the shot.
Here's what I have. The little black pin in the yellow circle is the pin/rivet that the clip mounts to, as you can see it would be under the glass.
