Hi there, it's been a while since I posted. I will be getting my car back tomorrow or the next day, RUST FREE! Being 17 years old, I worked two jobs for the last six months and realized I'll actually have money left over for rims! I'm debating whether I'll do a 5 lug conversion, or stick with the 4 lug. Anyone post what you've got, right now fuchs(replicas of course) are at the top of my list, but I want to see other ideas. Thanks and have a nice day! Here's my 71, only 90k miles! Finally coming together

4 bolt Fuchs. Hit the recessed face with 1500 grit. Then the outer face wth 3000 grit and polishing compound. Then I sprayed the whole wheel with clear coat wheel paint, masked off the outer face and sprayed the recessed again with matte clear coat wheel paint.

These are fake Fuchs on the green car. The wheel pic are 7in Fuchs on my current 914. I'm partial to the 5-lug look on the 914 as the 4-lug reminds me too much of the car's VW heritage and speed. At least with 5-lug it looks like it could go fast. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

When I bought my car it had Performance wheels 7x16, tires were 205/55ZR16 Riken Raptors:

I have always loved the look of the 914-6 cars with Fuchs. So I had Harvey Weidman restore a set of 6x15 Fuchs (I know the original 914-6 wheels were 14" but I thought there would be more tire choices in the 15"). Tires are Goodyear Eagle GT 205/60R15's. I'm pleased with the result:
