They are anodized. The pedals ate polished and the recessed areas satin.

I used a 200 grit sanding pad on a 3" airsander to remove the anodising and the scuff marks etc... then went upto 600 then 1000 then 2000 then polished with a mopping pad and autosol metal polish
I had to planish the centre cap to get it reasonably flat first as it was pretty beat up ten sanded it flat before polishing |

I stock the polished and the anodized. Polishing and making look good take a lot of time.
