I've got a set of aftermarket carpets that I'm happy enough with, but they have no grommets to secure them to the posts on the floor. This results in the driver's side getting pushed up under the pedals and getting behind the clutch pedal, which I would prefer to avoid.

Do we know of a source for appropriate grommets? Just some cheap plastic clip-ons would be fine.

Do the grommets on a mat work over the carpet? Coco mats offers velcro as an option.

I couldn’t find the grommets separately, at least not labeled as such.

You can get "brass" grommets for tarps anywhere like Harbor Freight for change.

We made silicone grommets that hold the carpet well. In several colors to accommodate black, gray, tan and brown carpets.
We pre install in all of our carpets.

Currently do not have available separately.

You could try sewing some edge binding to make grommets.

I have only seen them available as salvaged from used cars.

Maybe take a large bolt to a grinder and fab the needed post.

They aren’t hard to fabricate, just a little tedious

McMasterCarr has large flat rubber grommets in various sizes and dimensions - it wouldn't be a carpet specific grommet and certainly not 914 specific, but you could find something that would work. I need to do the same, as I have a custom carpet kit in my car. Was thinking of adding industrial velcro .. but since the carpet keeper studs are already there, the grommets will come first. Maybe post whatever it is you end up with - good luck.
