I don't have a scale at home, for obvious reasons, and I was wondering if someone could tell me what a front bumper from a 74, complete with rubber top and tits, weighs?
Thanx! |

way back (12+ years ago) I bathroom scaled a 74 bumper that had the tits filled...
the front bumper was 22lbs. the fiberglass replacement was 11lbs. (that was the lightweight style fiberglass which people claim to weigh as little as 5lbs, but I found to be 11lbs) I have a rule about $ and weight. $50/lb for the race car is the absolute max bumper fit within the rule easily at around 20$/lb brant |

It helps make those boring labor intensive jobs (like drilling holes) more enjoyable because you feel like your getting something for free.... I can't wait for the RRC either. after this track event passes in May, I'll put all of my focus onto Moab. tenatively (without getting clarification from the other planners) it looks like the event may be 9/22-24 put it in your calendar! no excuses for missing will be accepted! brant |
