I guess you need to define "spent on".
Does that include routine maintenance like oil changes, tires, etc? Does that include tools? After all, in the summer, I prefer to use my 914 as a daily driver. That's cost avoidance for my Jeep. A no-shit number for my 914-6 would be... about 12K. Purchase price of the car was about 6.5k. That's counting big purchases only. No routine maintenance, no tires, no cost of Clay driving up from Texas to eat my steaks and bratwurst. Now that you fixed it my answer is different. LOL Actually, there are two answers. I prefer not to count it, but I can add a lot of it my head and it's a BIG number. |

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) and most of the guys will have no idea what the last 10 posts here were all about ... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/happy11.gif) Andy PS: i voted "I would rather not add it up" but a quick "sum it all up" in my head puts me in the "over 25k" bracket ... I'm at $25K+, it would be higher, but you didn't offer the $30K barrier.... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) and it's still a POS....

Ask me after I'm done with the engine swap. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)
Do tools count? The ones you just must have to work on a 914, welders, mills, bandsaws etc. |

I'm in for the 0 - 1000 catagory cause you didn't make one lower. I have been tearing down my first that I got for free. Found about 4 bucks in change under the seat.
LOL Guess I'm the lowball winner!! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) |

Not counting the purchase price.
I also have a couple a pints of blood, quite a bit of Knuckle skin, gallons of sweat. All for the price of a few cc's of adreniline (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Seems fair to me. |
