What is the difference in a 914 passenger seat and the drivers seat? They look identical to me!

No, the drivers left side bolster has a scoop out of it so your hand can grad the ebrake.

Also look at the back of the seats. You will see the back of head rest angle different directions.

BUT... ...there were more differences: the seat had a bit of a "lean" built into it so that it was uncomfortable for longer trips (anything over 30 minutes, and once I noticed it it pretty much bugged me all the time). Also, the backs of the headrests are angled differently to meet up with the (bowed) back window/firewall -- so that anyone with a keen eye will notice the ruse through the back window.
