The driver's side, right below the pushrod tubes and underneath the engine tin says:
S12 004.101.102A VW 4 The passenger's side says: S12 004.101.101A VW 7 What do I have here. I've been told its a bus engine. Are both halves original to each other? Many Thanks, Konrad 72/4 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

if you want to know what engine it is, look at the engine serial number. EA is 1.7, EC is 1.8, GA and GC are 2.0, CV is a vanagon engine. there are others.
